My name is Shawn J. Wilhite (Ph.D. Durham University; PhD Southern Seminary). I currently teach at California Baptist University (Associate Professor of New Testament) and serve as director for the Center for Ancient Christian Studies.

My primary field of research is New Testament, early Christianity, and Patristic Theology. These interests include the Christian Scriptures, Early Christian origins, and Patristic Theology and spirituality.

My current research explores Cyril of Alexandria’s Trinitarian theology and use of Scripture as a pro-Nicene theologian. I currently serve as series editor for Studies of Patristic Theology and Spirituality with Baylor University Press.
